Fundraiser Honors California's Black Farmers

Oakland, CA – Farms to Grow, Inc. will hold its first annual fundraiser celebration on Saturday Nov 12th, 2011. This spectacular event will feature conversations with African American farmers, locally sourced food tastings from black owned restaurants, special musical guests Laurnea, Melanie Demore, Ambessa Negus, Alena Cawthorne, and Tyrone Weems. The event will also feature a silent auction for a chance to win great prizes such as fine art, event passes, golf lessons, and more. Farms to Grow's fundraiser will be held at the Historic Preservation Park, Nile Hall, 668 13th St Oakland, CA. Admission is $40 advance tickets, $50 at the door.
